Self Love - Shanel Cooper Sykes

WHO ARE YOU? - Iyanla Vanzant

One of my passtions in life is to think. I love to think about things that matter to me. As I was searching for positive things on Youtube to post on this site, I came across this video by Ms. Vanzant. She asks the question who are you minus all your titles and what people have told you are. It really made me think and I think I have a good sense of who I am. But this did not come overnight...this took many years to figure out who I am. It was a process but a process much needed. So the question remains do you know who you are and are you willing to figure it out? Check out the below video and do the soul searching.

BFT Discussion: Is Hollywood Loosing It's Flavor for African-American Entertainers?

Is Hollywood loosing it flavor for African-American entertainers? It seems more and more that African Americans that are in the entertainment business is moving to Atlanta. It also seems to me that more African-American entertainers are creating more projects for themselves and moving these projects to Atlanta. They are not waiting for Hollywood to give them anything which I think is a good thing. If we as a community can support these projects and or help create more projects and think that we will hear more positive music and see more of us on film and TV. Do you feel that Atlanta is the land of opportunity for entertainments for African-Americans? Thoughts?
