BFT Discussion: A Second Chance?

I was just listening to El DeBarge's new song called "Second Chances" on the radio. He is a perfect example of when you your life goes bad due to bad choices. He is turning his life and career around with a second chance. My question is do you believe in second chances and that everyone should have one? When should a second chance not be given? Thoughts?

NAACP President Ben Jealous Requests Pardon For Scott Sisters

NAACP President & CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous requested a pardon from Governor Haley Barbour for two sisters incarcerated since 1994 despite troubling questions regarding the accuracy of witness testimony, possible coercion and potential racial bias.

The "Scott Sisters", Jamie and Gladys Scott were convicted in a 1994 armed robbery which yielded $11, a crime in which they have consistently denied any involvement. Both sisters were sentenced to double-life sentences and have remained imprisoned since their convictions, despite the fact that they were convicted primarily on testimony from three teenagers reportedly coerced by the County Sherriff's office. One of the witnesses has since recanted his statement and acknowledged that the Scott Sisters are innocent.

BFT Discussions: I Am Seperated So Do You Want To Go Out With Me?

If a party tells you that they are separated from their spouse, is it ok to pursue a relationship with that person? Is being separated a "get out of jail free" card from being deemed a cheater or should we call "a spade a spade" call them a cheater? Thoughts?
