BFT Discussion: Should elementary school teachers teach your child about sex education or same sex relationships? Thoughts?

This is an issue that I am really torn apart on. It's about sex education in the elementary schools. Should elementary teaches have the right to teach sex education and about gay relationships in schools without the consent of the parents? I believe it should be the parents' responsibility but since some parents are not discussing it with their children...should it be the responsibility of the school system? Thoughts?

  1. Sex education should not be taught in school. Good grief; sex education for gays too? While the topic is designed to inspire thought, there isn't much to talk about here.
Why not a class on beastiality? That's a sexual preferrence for a small percentage of the populace.
I bet the responses would range from "that's gross", "that's wrong" and it has no place in the school.
A large percentage of people think the same thing about gay relations.
I'm not hating on gays. I'm simply saying leave it out of the school curriculum.
These teachers don't take other accountability for your child (They'll be the first to turn their back on them; and you too) They have no vested interest other than their education, and do a poor job of THAT as well.
If it's convienient, then do it. That's not the right process to decide a lesson plan.

If you think so, bring a couple of puppies and a few barnyard animals to the school, put KY jelly in all of the vending machines and teach the kids what to do with that.

You see, I'm not wanting to educate the whole world on sexual preferrence. I want my kids educated in the way and manner I see fit. Keep your words out of my children's ears as it pertains to sex.

You can't half teach them the things they are SUPPOSED to learn.
