I just want to wish everyone a wonderful Holiday Season! I wanted to make sure that I include everyone who does not celebrate Christmas. Now... for those that do believe... I want to say Merry Christmas! For me, Jesus is the reason for the season. I have been really blessed this year. It has been really tight for me financially but I remaining above water. I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food to eat. My children are doing very well. I have started my own business in which I am learning so tough lessons but I still remain. I am blessed for that.
Last week, I was watching Ledisi on the Mo'Nique Show. She said something that stuck with me. She said "If I don't believe in it, how are you gonna believe in it?" Check below to the see the interview and her song in it's entirety. Anyway, that struck a cord with me. I have a this vehicle called "Black Folks Think" and I am able to voice my opinions on any given subject. Do you know what a blessing this is? Do you know that I am able to help a young lady or man with the power of words and video. This is a serious undertaking and blessing. The reason why I do this is because I believe in what I am doing. I believe in my God to see me through this project and I believe in me. I want black folks to get empowered again. I want black folks to get motivated again. I want black folks to continue to get educated. I want black folks to be a more positive force in the world.
The year 2010 is rapidly approaching. What do you want to do in 2010? What is it that you want to accomplish? What do you want to start a business? Do you want to lose weight? Do you want not to do something anymore? Ladies and gentlemen, if you want your 2010 to bright and successful, it all start with the decisions that you make. Start thinking about who your decision will affect you and your family in the short-term and in the long-term. Is your decision going to benefit you positively or are you just doing something? All I am saying start choosing wisely in 2010. If you are not sure about your decisions, research the different outcomes. If you don't have not peace in the decision, then hold off until you do. Waiting to make a decision might be the right thing to do.
So as I leave you all with that. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and New Years! I love you and there is nothing that you can do about it.
Until next time,
Nicole
